Overview

Begin your journey in the Laikipia region, a broad swathe of game-rich grasslands and hills. Safari by traditional vehicle, on horseback or on foot. Travel across the area in a nostalgic flight in a biplane, and use your private helicopter to explore the remote regions of Kenya's Northern Frontier. Land in visually stunning landscapes and visit villages to discover tribal cultures firsthand. For your last three days, explore the Masai Mara, where wildlife abounds on the swaying grasslands.

Itinerary

Days 1-2

Fly to Nairobi and transfer to your hotel.

Days 3-5

Early this morning, board your flight to Lewa Downs. The Laikipia region is a broad swathe of game-rich grasslands and hills that reach Mount Kenya to one side and wild deserts of the north to the other. Laikipia boasts one of the greatest wildlife experiences in Kenya. The game viewing in this region is exceptional, and you enjoy safari by traditional vehicle and on foot. You may also explore the bush on horseback. Your destination is Laragai House, on Borana Ranch, set on the edge of the Mokagodo escarpment; the house has the most spectacular views of both the Northern Frontier and Mount Kenya. You have exclusive use of this magnificent property for the next few days. One of the magic qualities of Borana, the private conservancy on which the house is located, is that the ranch is an accredited member of the Ecotourism Society of Kenya, is certified organic and plays an extremely active role in regional conservation. Early one morning, embark on the nostalgic flight of a lifetime across this magical area in a biplane.

Days 6-7

This day you have optional of driving straight to samburu game reserve or using your own private helicopter, explore some of the most wild and stunning scenery and culture in Africa, including places rarely visited or seen. Your helicopter is the latest from Eurocopter with the most modern safety features and is the only one of its kind in Kenya. One morning, take an incredible and memorable day up into the Northern Frontier, one of the most savagely beautiful regions on the planet. See volcanoes, millions of flamingo and the vast jade expanse of Lake Turkana. Land in the desert at Kalacha, a small oasis and trading settlement, and enjoy a privileged cultural interaction with the rarely visited Gabba tribe,continue your journey to samburu game reserve for the next two nights.Morning and afternoon game  viewing  sessions tracking the rare drought resistant animals species which can only be seen at the northern part of the equator.These are the reticulated giraffe,grevy zebra,beisa oryx,gerenuk and blue shanked somalia ostrich.The Ewaso Nyiro River traverses this park,its source are therefore very high chanced of spotting crocodile in the natural enviroments though its waters level varies seasonally.You will have lunch and leisure dinner and over night in your lodge or luxuly tented camp.

Days 8-10

As the dawn rises, fly south through the wild sceneries to reach Nanyuki at the foot of Mount Kenya for your flight to the Masai Mara. Embark on morning and afternoon game drives. The wildlife is abundant and the swaying grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight.Masai mara game reserve which is essentially the northern extention of of Tanzania Serengeti and is currently the scene of the annual migration of the wildbeest and zebra and it occurs between the two reserves.Lunch at the lodge or your luxuly tented camp.In the afternoon you have a choice of three activities:-a game drive or a nature walk with our masai guide;the final choice is a visit to a local masai villange to see their nomadic lifestyle at an extra cost payable directly to the masai chief or the elder in the village.All activities end in your lodge or luxuly tented camp at 630 pm where you will retire for the night after dinner.

Day 11

After early breakfast ,game drive on route and thereafter transfer to the airstrip for the flight back to Nairobi. Continue your journey.
